Crystals and Meditation
Crystals and meditation go together like shoes and socks. You can certainly have one without the other, but it just feels right to have them both! Meditating with crystals is one of the best ways to connect with and feel their magical energies.
In this blog post, I’m going to share five amazing crystals for meditation. Plus a little bit about their individual meanings. These crystals are easy to find and very affordable too!
Each crystal mentioned in this post has calming, gentle energy that targets your thoughts and emotions in some way. You might notice some similarities between them, but each one is still special in its own way. Feel free to experiment with mixing and matching them.
Crystals and humans are all unique in their own way. Some crystals will resonate with you, while others won’t. It’s all part of your individual spiritual journey. The best way to figure out which crystals you love most is to meditate with them as often as you can.

How to use crystals for meditation
The concept behind meditation is relatively easy to explain, but can be hard to grasp in practice. Every time a thought arises, simply observe it without any judgement, and let it float away. The idea is to not engage in any thoughts or feelings as they freely come and go.
Observing our thoughts and feelings without participating in them allows us to recognize patterns, change our perspective, and let things go that no longer serve us.
[mailerlite_form form_id=1]If you’re just beginning to meditate, it might seem nearly impossible to not engage in your thoughts. You’ve likely been forming the habit your whole life. And habits don’t change overnight. That’s why it’s called a meditation practice, because it does take a lot of practice.
Crystals can greatly enhance your practice and make the practice much easier in the beginning. Each crystal offers a special kind of energy, and when we welcome in that energy we begin to adopt it as our own. This process is called entrainment and is the basis of crystal healing.
To use crystals for meditation, you have a few different options. You can hold them in your hand, place them over their corresponding chakra, wear them as jewelry, put them in your pocket, or sit them in front of you. Just make sure they are within close proximity of your own aura. Then, open yourself up to receive their healing energy and they will happily oblige!

Best crystals for meditation
I picked these beautiful healing crystals because I personally have had wonderful experiences with all of them. Their energies are harmonious to each other, so you could use two or more of these stones at the same time if you wanted.
By the way, this list of crystals for meditation is not exhaustive at all. You could technically use ANY crystal you’d like during meditation, depending on your intention. The intention I have chosen for this list is calming and releasing thought patterns.
These crystals are also pretty easy to find, both online and in new age shops. With the slight exception of citrine, and you’ll just want to make sure you have genuine citrine rather than heat-treated. Any reputable crystal shop will be able to tell you if their citrine is genuine or not.

Fluorite
Readily available in a variety of shapes and sizes, fluorite is my preferred choice when I’m looking for crystals for meditation. It’s famous for increasing concentration and clearing mental fog. Once the fogginess is gone, it’s much easier to recognize the quiet space between thoughts.
Fluorite rids the mind of internal distractions, bringing order to the mental chaos. It helps introduce us to the subconscious mind so we can safely explore repressed memories and emotions.
Our inner truth is revealed with this rainbow gem. Also excellent in helping us to see the bigger picture, as well as any harmful patterns that need to be dissolved. Strengthens our connection to the universal mind, aiding in our ability to recognize when outside influences are too strong.

Citrine
This golden crystal is a powerful cleanser. Enhances concentration while promoting inner calmness–perfect for meditation. It also boosts memory recall, as well as helping us to lean from and let go of the past.
Citrine is probably the happiest crystal around! It’s very well-known for bringing out our inner abundance, prosperity, positivity, warmth, confidence, and creativity.
Sometimes during meditation, deep pain makes its way to the surface, citrine helps us release that pain and feel grateful for having gone through those experiences. It helps cut through depression and negative self talk, working to change how we speak to ourselves.

Calcite
A waxy crystal available in several gorgeous colors, calcite is a fantastic crystal for meditation. It helps build up our self awareness while bridging the gap between our emotions and our intellect. Providing a deeper understanding of our mental health status.
No matter the color, calcite is excellent at calming the mind and alleviating emotional stress. A bringer of inner serenity, it helps us gain control over our emotional well-being.
Golden calcite is especially good for mindfulness meditation because it promotes mental alertness. Blue calcite is the most calming of all the color varieties. Green calcite helps heal mental issues and encourages us to overcome mental setbacks of our own making. Red calcite is emotionally uplifting, while pink calcite helps dissolve mental resistance.

Amazonite
A lovely matte crystal, amazonite is the lucky hope stone. Also acts as a mental filter, making meditation easier to practice for beginners. It has a nice, soothing energy that calms our brain activity and helps us slowly work through emotional trauma.
Amazonite dissolves mental blocks that prevent the subconscious from coming through to us. Helps to resolve both inner and outer conflict through honest communication. Promotes mental clarity, balance, and emotional stability.
Meditating with amazonite will likely bring our personal truth into the light. Inner peace can be achieved by discouraging destructive behaviors and breaking down limiting beliefs that hold us back.

Charoite
Deep purple in color and filled with interesting veins, charoite is a powerful stone of spirituality. Connects deeply with the third eye chakra, our center of spiritual growth, which can take our meditation practice to the next level. It’s great at showing us new perspectives and potentially harmful karmic patterns.
Charoite is wonderful at reducing stress, anxiety, and worry. Along with overcoming resistance and releasing fear. It teaches us to be mindful by accepting the present moment, just as it is, no matter how “negative” it appears to us.
This purple gem also helps us give up unhealthy obsessions and addictions, especially if they are of an emotional kind. In this way, it’s great for transformation and heightening our self awareness.

There’s no right answer
With the amount of crystals available to us, there really is no one right crystal for meditation. It varies so much from person to person, so don’t get hung up on these simple suggestions.
The best way to figure out what works for you is to just start! Dive right in. Don’t hold back, don’t give into excuses, don’t worry about what others have to say.
What I mentioned in this list of crystals for meditation is pretty universal. There’s a good chance at least one of these crystals will work for you. But if they don’t, don’t worry! There’s no right answer.
And even if you resonate deeply with one crystal now, you might not in a few years. Or vice versa. As modern mystics we are constantly evolving and growing. Our energy changes naturally over time–it gets higher in vibration which will result in our resonating with different crystals.
