Physical Characteristics of Amazonite
A member of the feldspar family, it is opaque in appearance. Comes in blue and green mainly, with grey, gold, and white patches scattered throughout. A string of amazonite beads will likely have variations of these colors. While a rough specimen will mostly likely be blue/green, white white streaks going through it.
Please be aware that this crystal contains lead. Use caution when creating elixirs. The lead causes the darker color pigment mentioned above. On the Mohs hardness scale, this crystal measures 6-6.5.
Which is relatively soft and easy to work with. Currently mined all over the globe. Including India, Brazil, the US, Russia, Austria, Madagascar, Canada, Russia, Australia, Mozambique, and Namibia.
