There are many ways to bring health and harmony to your body. Exercise, eating well, deep breathing, being outside, personal hygiene, and so much more.
And when it comes to your mental well-being, there are even more ways to promote health and harmony. Meditation, coaching, shadow work, creativity, affirmations, journaling, aromatherapy, reading, socializing, gratitude, music, cognitive behavioral therapy, and any number of self care practices.
Have you ever considered the deeper reason why these things restore our vitality? I mean it’s pretty easy to understand on the surface level why these things can make us feel good in our minds and bodies.
Our physical health depends on moving our bodies and eating a well-balanced diet. Our mental health depends on staying present and actively reflecting for the sake of personal growth. Makes total sense and you don’t really need to understand more than that to get the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices.
But you’re a modern mystic on a magical journey to manifesting your dream life. You intuitively understand that there’s more than what meets the eye. Your Higher Self knows something else is happening besides simple cause and effect. What could that be?
Deep down, all of our wellness habits help with chakra healing. When our chakra system is strong and nourished, we flourish. Every healthy activity we do for ourselves correlates to a chakra, and the more healthy our lifestyle, the better balanced our chakras become. Which creates this beautiful cyclical effect of health, harmony, and vitality.
When our chakras are lively, we feel lively. When our chakras are restricted, we feel restricted. We might not have realized it before, but all self care and healthy lifestyle choices ultimately comes down to restoring our vital life force energy within our entire chakra system.
What Are The Different Chakras?
All bodies contain energy centers called chakras. Humans and animals all have them, and we place special focus on the main seven that run up the spine.
Each chakra is associated with specific aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. That’s basically why all wellness habits and choices (or lack thereof) eventually impact the strength of our energy centers.
In case you haven’t seen the blog post about Chakras For Beginners, I’ll give you a quick rundown of the seven main chakras that we’re talking about:
- Root Chakra (Muladhara): Located at the base of the spine, associated with grounding, stability, and basic survival instincts.
- Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): Found in the lower abdomen, associated with creativity, passion, and sexuality.
- Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Located in the upper abdomen, associated with personal power, confidence, and self-esteem.
- Heart Chakra (Anahata): Positioned at the center of the chest, associated with love, compassion, and emotional healing.
- Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): Located in the throat area, associated with communication, self-expression, and truth.
- Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Positioned between the eyebrows, associated with intuition, perception, and spiritual insight.
- Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): Found at the top of the head, associated with spiritual connection, enlightenment, and consciousness.
Just by knowing what the seven chakras are and where they are located in the body, you can start to see where the correlation between them and our health comes from.
The root chakra is a great example. It’s located at the base of the spine, and resonates with the energy of safety and security. This is our “survival” chakra. And think of the organs that are in that area of our body as well. Organs that cleanse our bodies of toxins and dispel waste we don’t need. Our lower limbs are there too, physically supporting the rest of our body, as well as carrying us from place to place. It makes perfect sense why our lower chakra would be responsible for our basic needs being met.
All the chakras are this way. They are all located in the body specifically to support the energy of those organs and the aspects of consciousness that go along with them.
The heart chakra governs all matters of emotional wellbeing and healing. As well as the physical heart organ, the lungs, the rib cage, and the breasts.
The throat chakra governs our vocal cords, tonsils, tongue, mouth, and collarbone. On top of our voice, opinions, and expression. And so on! What’s amazing about the chakras is that they aren’t strictly spiritual or physical. They occupy both worlds. Which makes them ideal for holistic healing.
Chakras And What They Mean
To answer the question, “What is chakra healing?” We have to begin to understand that everything is multidimensional. Nothing is superficial. There is always more to the story, to the ailment, to the feelings and emotions, to whatever is causing a block in your energy.
Chakra healing is digging deeper. It’s combining physical health and wellness with emotional and spiritual healing. And I believe there is a growing number of people, including medical professionals, who value the mind/body connection.
I always like to use “losing weight” as a metaphorical example in mind/body discussions like this because it’s relatable. So I’ll do it again now. Imagine you want to lose weight, and your doctor agrees that your body would be much healthier if you did. You become committed and you do everything you need to do. You likely will lose some of the extra weight because you’re tackling one major piece of the puzzle. But it’s also likely that you won’t lose all the weight until you tackle the other major piece of the puzzle: the mental (and spiritual) components. The thoughts and emotions you have around food, health, exercise, self worth, and more. All of which correlate with the lower chakras, by the way. It’s much more likely that you’ll completely overhaul your entire life if you take a holistic approach. If you dig deeper into the energy of the emotions you’re carrying with you and not just the weight.
Another example I can give of the mind/body connection is extreme athletes. People who push their bodies to the physical limits to win their sport. Do you think they would ever be able to win if they weren’t in the right mind to win? All those hours of grueling training would mean nothing if they were telling themselves they didn’t have a chance of winning. They need both–the physical prowess and the winning attitude–to end up in first place.
I could go on and on. How many stories have you heard of cancer patients who kept a good attitude and their treatments were better received in their bodies? How many women in labor were taught to breathe deeply and remain focused and calm to deliver their babies? How many hikers have kept their eyes on the prize and told themselves they could reach the top of the mountain, then did? Your body alone won’t get you there. You also need to cultivate the right energy in your mind and spirit to truly attain the physical goal.
And that, my friends, is where chakra healing can be immensely helpful.
What Are All The Chakras?
By understanding the role each chakra plays in your physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, you’ll be much better equipped to manifest the outcome you want.
To do this, consider:
- What are the desires and emotions fueling this goal or manifestation?
- What area of my body is physically involved in this manifestation?
- What can I do to tie these two things together?
First, we have to get to the root of why we want what we want. Everything we do comes down to desiring to feel a certain way–physically and emotionally. It’s time to get to the bottom of those desires.
To do this, try this old trick. Continuously asking yourself “WHY?” Each time you make an “I want” statement, follow it up by asking “Why?” Even if it’s a hard question to answer, push through. Eventually you’ll find yourself at the root of an emotion. The idea is to find the feeling that is motivating the want.
Next, consider where that feeling exists in your chakra system. Anything around self confidence will be your sacral chakra, and possibly your solar plexus. Anything around feeling safe will be the root. Anything regarding trauma (or healing from it) will be in the heart chakra.

So you now know the feelings behind the desires. You know where that feeling is housed energetically in your chakras. The next part is pretty easy–finding where in your physical body this desire is held.
Here’s a hint: it’s at least in the same chakra(s) as where your desire is held. Possibly at least one other chakra, too.
Any kind of digestive problem is likely in the root chakra, possibly the sacral as well. Anything dealing with your thyroid will be in the throat chakra. Anything with brain health or with the eyes will be your third eye and crown. Hopefully you’re beginning to see how certain body parts are connected to certain chakras simply by their proximity to one another.
And finally, it’s time to tie all of this together. This is the treatment plan that will look different for everyone. But it also provides a great opportunity to combine modern medicine with spiritual growth. In fact, I firmly believe that these things are not mutually exclusive, and collectively they work a lot better when you take a holistic approach.
Let’s take giving birth to a baby as an example. This is on my mind a lot lately as I prepare to give birth a second time! Of course there are loads of valuable treatments out there in the field of women’s health, and we know so much about the miracles of childbirth and what happens in the mother’s body. There are thousands of medical professionals dedicating their lives to keeping moms and babies safe during the entire process.
And, simultaneously, it’s a completely natural thing that’s been happening for millions of years. The goal of so many healthcare professionals is to allow the process of birth to happen as naturally as possible, with as little medical interference as possible. Because the body and soul know what to do. If help is needed, help is there. And thank God for that!
Chakra healing is about bridging the gaps between physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. This is the truth behind miracles: there are many components at play.
What Are Chakras In The Human Body?
Many people from all ages, all walks of life, all around the world, across the centuries have benefited greatly from restoring the vitality of their chakras. There’s a powerful reason why this concept has stood the test of time!

All Chakras Explained
The ultimate goal of chakra healing is to feel strong, aligned, and balanced within your mind, body, and spirit. When we reach this state, the energy we put out there is bright and beautiful! Which in turn results in amazing things manifesting in our lives per the Law of Attraction.
Some of us work for years to manifest specific things that we want, like love, abundance, creative fulfillment, and more. It’s pretty discouraging when you follow all the manifesting guidance you receive and nothing seems to change. That’s the ideal time to turn to chakra healing for manifesting, because the deeply rooted blocks keeping you from manifesting are housed within at least one of your chakras, and it can be overcome.
Earlier I listed out the seven main chakras and their most well-known attributes as a quick review for the sake of this episode. Those attributes are what manifests in your mind/body when your chakras are healthy, balanced, and harmonized.
But of course, this whole idea of “chakra healing” comes from the fact that our chakras can be misaligned, overactive, and even blocked. These blocks change our energy, which changes what we’re able to manifest. So if we unblock our chakras, or restore their vitality, our energy changes from the inside out.
